Dear Family and Friends, Christmas 2009
This has been a year of significant change and blessings. Having sold our home in Logan this spring, we had a home built in Mapleton just around the corner from Lisa. We feel so blessed to live near all 4 of our children and our 8 grandchildren!
Tammy & Marshall Lamm sold their condo in Springville and have moved into our basement apartment. Tammy is a busy stay-at-home Mom teaching 2 year-old Emma and she is expecting a boy in April. Marshall teaches English, Spanish and Math at a school for teenage girls with learning disabilities. He is working on a Master’s degree in school counseling. Emma loves coming upstairs for visits and to sing and dance for us.
Dave & Natalie are the happy parents of Eleanor Dixie Burton (Nora) born in January. They performed this summer at the Pinecone Playhouse, a new theater in West Yellowstone. Dave works for Novell training services as an employee and independent contractor. Natalie sews costumes and dresses at home for extra income. They live in a nice duplex in Springville. They are expecting their second child in June. Nora débuted on stage this summer playing the tambourine.
Rob was so kind to let us live in his Provo townhouse with him for 8 months when we moved to Utah county for Bob’s new job. Rob loves his work as a Systems Support Technician at Novell. He has stayed busy helping our family move this year as well as helping his special friend Tiffanie and her family move.
Lisa and Daniel Austin stay busy raising their six children (ages 1 to 12). Lisa is a great homemaker and enjoys having her Mom nearby now. The children are very bright and are developing their talents. Daniel’s career is going well as a researcher and Chemistry professor at BYU and he presents often at international conferences in Mass Spectrometry.
Dixie loves being a very active grandmother, mother, and wife. She enjoyed two trips to Virginia this year to be with her Mother and sisters. She has regular “Grandma Days” and a Grandma playroom in our home that the kids run to when they visit. It is wonderful being in the same ward and filling a center row in the chapel with our daughters, their husbands, and seven of our grandchildren.
Bob has worked as CFO at Utah State hospital for over a year now and enjoys the challenge of managing the fiscal operations and being on the executive management team. We are especially thankful this Christmas for family togetherness, warm memories of many friends, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
With Love,
Bob & Dixie Burton & Family
